Granite
Our most versatile, finer grained Chinese granites are ideally suited for use in pavers, main entry headers, veneer, stairs, coping, caps, window surrounds and fireplaces.
The hardness of our Golden Granite renders a very uniform texture with our hand finishes—the most popular are the lychee, adze, thermal and mushroom.
The Pepper Brown Granite—a dream material for designers, carvers and masons—ranges from white to gold, with a fine tan-gold color as the standard when honed or polished.
Granite is an igneous stone, formed as a molten material that flows from the core of the earth mixed with many types of elements—specifically feldspar and quartz.
Because of this beginning, granites are very uniform in appearance and therefore, very hard and resistant to acids and abrasion. They are composed of various sized aggregates within a uniformly colored matrix material, and occasional veining.
During its formation, the slower the flow of the molten granite, the coarser the grain structure; the faster the flow, the finer the grain structure. The more open the grain, the more porous the granite.
