It is never too early to bring Yellow Mountain StoneWorks on to your team of design professionals.

From conceptual design to product procurement, we have an appropriate sense of urgency and the tools in place to make sourcing natural stone a transparent and comfortable process.

Here’s how we’d like to work with you:

  • We’ll help you get a feel for the variety of stone available and the types best suited to your project. To help you get started, visit our Products section and view a sampling of Projects. As you plan your project, consider these rules of thumb.
  • We listen to what you want to accomplish, and we’re sensitive to your timeline and budget. You can use our I Need Stone tool to tell us about your design vision and challenge. If your project is time sensitive, we can respond immediately.
  • Once we have the information we need, we can meet in person to show you a selection of stone samples.
  • If you like, we’ll bring to bear our experience by developing a palette of colors and construction details appropriately suited to your concept.
  • We’re happy to advise you on practical concerns, special considerations for interior and exterior installations, and availability and suitability of particular types of stone for your intended use.
  • We lay out the steps in the process of stone procurement and create a timeline you can trust from the first marketing samples to material delivery.
  • We like to meet your engineer, mason, and/or architect early in the process so we can collaborate on the best solutions.
  • If needed, we’ll create a mock-up to confirm color, texture, scale, details and craftsmanship.
  • We prepare all RFPs at a level of detail that allows you to see where the costs and values are in a given design scheme. Pricing is all inclusive of shop drawings, materials, shipping, and delivery to your site.
  • Before we order your stone, we’ll make sure you sign off on a master sample set.
  • We produce a shop drawing for every unique piece of fabrication before the work starts.
  • For complicated assemblies, we generate assembly drawings to illustrate how everything works together. These images are three-dimensional renderings that can be viewed from every angle.
  • During production, we routinely document fabrication and provide progress reports, allowing you to “watch” production. Using digital imagery (or in person, if you prefer), we’ll take you to the quarry and into the fabrication shop as your job is produced.
  • When your order ships, we give you regular updates of its progress—from port of export to customs clearance stateside to the jobsite.
  • We provide a detailed packing list which allows you to stage your work on the site, or in the warehouse. You know what is in every crate.

At Yellow Mountain StoneWorks, we take the guesswork out of working with stone.
